The traditional use of aromatic oils to attract prosperity into one’s life has been practiced for thousands of years by some of the world’s most renowned cultures.

Aromatic wealth attraction formulas have often been inherited through one’s family lineage as a practice for passing on a wealthy family’s prosperity consciousness and to ensure the family’s continued attraction of riches.

Many of the Prosperity Oils I am sharing with you are considered “holy” oils and have been used traditionally in sacred healing rituals, as well as ceremonial rites of passage and purification, to prevent and cure disease and for wealth attraction.

The Prosperity Oils are mood enhancers and aphrodisiacs which promote your having good feelings and an aura of attraction around you.

As you know when you feel good things naturally seem to go your way in life. Like a magnet the Prosperity Oils work to help you attract wealth and abundance into all areas of your life.

Many of the Prosperity Oils are Spice Oils known for their strong curative properties.

Throughout history health has been considered the most valuable commodity one could have. So any means to ensure continued “good” health was always highly valued and vigorously sought out.

Essential oil for panic attack

Cleaning your essential oil diffuser

The doTERRA diffusers are an ideal asset to keep in your home or office. Depending on what essential oils you diffuse, they purify the air you breathe and freshen the space with oils infused to meet your needs, which can range from calming and promoting sleep, to waking and grounding the mind by reducing feelings of stress and anxious feelings. A grounded mind can have a profound impact on your level of creativity and innovation.

Regardless of the type of diffuser you have, learning how to clean your diffuser is important to ensure its longevity. If left for too long, essential oils or any leftover water can corrode and ruin your unit, and can also negatively affect your aromatic experience when there’s an array of essential oil residue in the diffuser.

To keep your diffuser in perfect running condition for years to come, clean your diffuser after each use by wiping it out and letting it dry before using it again.

However, I for one always forget to do this!

For a quick clean, it is a good idea to diffuse Lemon oil for a short time. This makes it easier to clean out any residue or water lines before you wipe it out. For diffusers that do not use water, make sure to rinse out the nozzle with tap water and then wipe it clean.

We also recommend that you deep clean your diffusers once a month or as needed. Do so by following these steps based on the type of diffuser you have:

How to Deep-Clean an Ultrasonic Diffuser (for Brevi, Lumo, or Petal diffusers)

  1. Turn off your diffuser.
  2. Wipe it with a clean damp cloth, kitchen roll or tissue.
  3. Fill the water reservoir with clean water.
  4. Add 10 drops of white vinegar to the water reservoir.
  5. Leave it for about half an hour.
  6. Drain the water reservoir completely.
  7. Dip a cotton swab in white vinegar and wipe down the edges of the water reservoir as well as the ultrasonic mist chip.
  8. Rinse the water reservoir with clean water.
  9. Run the diffuser with just clean water.
  10. Repeat this until you cannot smell vinegar.

Keeping a clean diffuser allows for the best possible experience in using your doTERRA essential oils aromatically.

Panic attack essential oils

Essential oils for panic attacks and anxiety

For many years I’ve suffered with anxiety and depression and one of the symptoms, particularly if I’m very busy, feeling under pressure or overwhelmed, I suffer panic attacks.

A panic attack is a sudden feeling of overwhelming anxiety, and it’ll peak within minutes. A person who’s suffering from a panic attack may experience sweating, pounding heart, palpitations, accelerated heart rate, shaking or trembling, feelings of choking, feelings of shortness of breath or smothering, chest pain or discomfort, dizziness, nausea, abdominal distress, fear of dying, fear of losing control or numbness or tingling sensations.

Luckily, there are essential oils that can help relieve panic attacks, and the best essential oils for my panic attacks include lavender, rose, vetiver, ylang-ylang, bergamot, and chamomile. Read on to learn more about how essential oils can help you if you suffer them too.

The most common essential oil for panic attacks is lavender. It may have a calming, relaxing effect when it’s inhaled. The reason for this is because it’s considered a nervous system restorative. It helps with sleep, restlessness, irritability, nervous stomach and nervous tension. Clinical trials show that inhaling lavender essential oil reduces stress and anxiety.

Rose essential oil is similar to lavender. It’s commonly used for relieving anxiety, and it significantly reduces it. Similar to lavender essential oil, rose also has calming, relaxing effects.

Vetiver oil is a nervous system tonic that causes calmness and stabilization, and it decreases hypersensitivity and nervousness. It’s helpful to use the oil for panic attacks and shock. Did you know that vetiver oil helps the immune, respiratory, endocrine, circulatory, digestive, excretory and nervous systems? If you’re having trouble falling asleep because of panic attacks, vetiver oil will help you fall asleep because it’s a natural sedative.

Ylang-ylang is a popular oil that’s commonly used for anxiety and depression. The oil has calming and morally and spiritually elevating effects. The oil has been known to help with bravery and confidence. It’ll help relieve fearfulness. Similar to vetiver oil, ylang-ylang is a naturally strong sedative.

A 2006 study showed that ylang-ylang, bergamot, and lavender oils reduced psychological stress responses, serum cortisol levels, and high blood pressure levels when all of the oils were used once a day for four weeks.

If you have low blood pressure or sensitive skin, you may want to try another oil for panic attacks as ylang-ylang can decrease blood pressure and cause skin irritation.

Bergamot oil has calming, relaxing effects. It’s often used to help treat depression by increasing energy, but it can also help with insomnia, agitation, and relaxation.

According to a study, the oil has been proven to reduce corticosterone response in rats. Another study conducted in 2011 showed that applying bergamot oil with other oils help relieve depression and anxiety.

Chamomile oil may help with irritability, anxiety, and worry. A study found that the chamomile oil capsules eased anxiety symptoms when taken by mouth. If you’re allergic to ragweed, there’s a small risk that chamomile oil may cause an allergic reaction.

Essential oils can be used in many ways. Diffusing is very popular for anxiety and I always have a diffuser upstairs and down at home, but oral and topical application can be used also so I carry my roller ‘doterra touch’ blends with me and pop a drop under my tongue in an emergency.

Essential oils for energy

Create Motivation and Energy

Do you find it hard to get out of bed every morning? Do you suffer with the lack of energy during the day? Do you find yourself reaching out for your numerous coffee refills and it’s barely mid-afternoon, maybe try reaching for an essential oil the next time.

Essential oils can help wake up your whole body by invigorating the senses very quickly, and make you feel revitalized and energetic, leading to a clearer head and then greater productivity. Essential oils have been used for thousands of years, essential oils are amazing for their therapeutic properties and pack a powerful punch in such a small bottle! Only a few drops of these natural, potent aromatic compounds obtained from the flowers, leaves, seeds and bark of plants, can quickly get you back on your feet when you’re feeling depleted.

Let’s face it, we’ve all felt low on energy at times. There are many underlying reasons for feeling this way, including high stress, lack of proper sleep, adrenal fatigue, emotional  stress, low moods and more.
If you feel any of these symptoms below, you may be victim to low energy levels:

  • Inability to concentrate or focus
  • Lack of motivation
  • Feeling depressed
  • Body aches and pains
  • Feeling tired without having done much
  • Drowsiness at odd hours in the day
  • Increased or loss of appetite
  • Feeling irritable

Essential Oils are steam-distilled or cold-pressed, they are extracted from plants, and have aromatic properties which have incredibly amazing benefits.

Essential Oils are “adaptogens” because of their ability to uniquely “adapt” to the needs of the person using the oil, an irritated person might feel calm after using an oil, and a person with low energy levels may feel uplifted using the same oil!

The aromatic molecular compounds in essential oils can pass right through the blood/brain barrier, directly affecting the areas in our brain that control feelings of stress, anxiety and mental fatigue. Hence why the oils work so quickly as they enter the limbic system and into the brain and then changing your moods instantly.

So when you’re struggling with low energy, essential oils when applied topically, or inhaled and also used in a diffuser are proven to uplift the mood, re-energize, and calm mental stress.

Here are a few ways essential oils can help boost your energy levels:

  • Make you feel fresh and ready to tackle the day
  • Elevate your mood and promote positivity
  • Help you re-focus and concentrate
  • Reduce feelings of stress and anxiety
  • Alleviate fatigue and tiredness
  • Increase productivity levels
  • Give you the uplift you need to get going

If you’re ready to put the buzz back in your step, read on to discover the top 16 best essential oils for energy, revitalizing your senses and improving your mood.

Lemon essential oil

Lemon to Detox the body

Natural practitioners see toxins as a cause of cancer and other diseases.  It just makes sense that we want to limit our exposure and help our bodies get rid of these unwanted chemicals.

The good news?  You don’t have to do anything extreme.  Detox support can be as simple as a few drops of lemon essential oil in your water.

Daily detox with lemon essential oil

Lemon essential oil, cold pressed from the rind, is a powerful cleanser.  You can use it to clean glass, to remove any kind of sticky substance, and to get stains out of carpet.  It’s stronger than you may think — it will actually break down plastics.

And it can help clean up your body, too.  When you drink lemon essential oil in water, it supports your body’s detoxing systems to help naturally get rid of accumulating toxins.

How to do it?  Put 1-2 drops of lemon oil in every 8 ounce glass of water; drink 10-20 drops of lemon oil per day.  Make sure you drink out of glass and not plastic (because lemon oil will break down plastic).  And it helps to put the essential oil in the bottom of the glass, then pour water over.  That way, the essential oils don’t just float on top.

You might want to go slowly when starting. Try 1-2 drops the first day and gradually work up from there. I had detox headaches for a few days as my body adjusted.

All the citrus oils support detox, so if you want to mix it up, try orange, lime, grapefruit, or even green mandarin.

This simple little habit can provide such powerful detox support for your body, every day.  No crazy cleanses required.

If you really don’t want to drink it in the water, pop a few drops into a diffuser to gently detox the room. For best results around the home use Purify.
